As far as quests go, this is a strange one. It had already been strange, mind, when Serendipity had noticed a flying cat stealing away with one of his favorite necklaces, but to follow her back to the tower of a man who apologized for the theft? To be asked if he could find a different magical artifact in return? There were more questions than answers when the tiefling left for his little errand.

His shoulder smarts still from where Tara -- yes, that's the tressym's name -- had jumped off to return to the tower he approaches now. It's only curiosity that brings him to do this, Serendipity tells himself as he climbs back up to the window he'd climbed through the first time. He's just curious, really, about why this wizard needs something magic -- no matter the enchantment. He just wants answers, that's all! And if they come from a gorgeous man with lovely brown eyes who doesn't get upset over pilfered biscuits...well, perhaps luck favors the bard more than he'd initially thought.

He's quite winded when he finally pulls himself through the window. Serendipity rolls onto the floor of the room, taking a moment before retrieving the newly-acquired amulet from within an inner pocket. " And here we are! Am I good, or am I good? " Gods, please be magical.

voices  could  be  heard  from  the  movie  playing  on  tv  —  hudson’s  eyes  might  have  been  on  the  screen,  but  he  wasn’t  paying  attention.  he'd seen this film before and the cheap screams only ever resulted in an all but bored eye roll. curious  fingers  were  moving  from  under  the  blanket  draped  across  their  laps.  they  traced  over  the  soft  skin  of  her  hip  only  to  trail  further  until  his  hand  was  snug  between  her  thighs.  “‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎shh ...‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎”‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎he  whispered, voice an alluring low pitch.  hazel  eyes  shifted  from  the  screen  to  the  body  sitting  at  the  other  end  of  the  couch.  “‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎you  don’t  want  them  to  notice,  do  you  ?‏‏‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎”

     "Meu tigre, tudo é perfeito! Totally empty, see? Ish. Empty enough. If it took you any longer to pick a seat, you'd be Goldilocks instead." The Brazilian handyman slid in casually next to a surprised young woman in a fluffy pink mini dress. The girl toyed with one of her pigtails as she peered curiously at her new company.

     Cherry looked to the window. One brow raised. She smirked. Her eyes locked with a familiar mustachioed face in the reflection. "That car was too full, that car was too far..." She drummed her fingers along the table and reluctantly turned her gaze toward the real Tangerine. "This one is just right." Her chin jutted out, indicating for him to take the seat across from her. "Don't mind, babe, do ya?"

     A small, confused mewl escaped the girl beside her, as though the question took her by surprise. "No, not at all!" It made little difference to her; she planned on doomscrolling anyway. "Oh. Er..." she covered her mouth and tilted her head. Maybe "babe" was actually the really stylish guy.

      "See? Good sport." It wasn't as though they had to spend all their time seated anyway. In fact, Cherry planned on spending as much time as possible on foot. She didn't like being trapped in confined spaces in the first place, and a train was just one long confined space broken down into even smaller spaces. Like a centipede, she thought. Or maybe a worm. No one wanted to be inside a worm. As long as she kept pacing, she could pretend she still had free will.

      There was, of course, the issue of how freely the two of them would be able to speak like this, but the logistics didn't bother Cherry much. Unless they whispered, anything they said would surely be heard by people nearby anyway, but without context, she doubted they'd know what the conversation was about. "Y'know, there were other options. The duo back there, dressed like a plumber and a princess—pretty sure they were swingers. Saw them checking us out." She leaned back and tossed a hand in the air. "Could've had a little entertainment all lined up for our reunion. Just saying."

     The girl, who had been rapidly texting, suddenly went still. She glanced at Tangerine first, then Cherry, then began tapping her phone even faster than before.
